Using sector-leading teaching and sports facilities at the award-winning University Park campus, delegates can choose from three packages, including e.g. free parking, wifi, en-suite accommodation and meals. In addition, there will also be expert-led sessions off-ice, at the David Ross Sports Village, and on-ice, at the National Ice Centre, with free shuttle bus between venues.
We are excited to announce key partners, including Hudl Instat (video and data solution for performance analysis) and trusted global ice hockey brand, CCM. In addition, English Ice Hockey have agreed to credit delegates with 1 Module of CPD for attending this event.
It is hoped that this event will encourage coaches to return to in-person learning and networking forum.
Matt spoke of how the symposium could really help any aspiring coach or seasoned veteran;
“The opportunity to meet up with a great network of coaches from across the country doesn’t happen enough and I believe it’s a real key to motivate and refresh new ideas and concepts. This coaching symposium is essential to any coach’s toolkit and pre-season preparations.”
“I have great memories of when I attended an IIHF coaching symposium in Switzerland back in 2000 and I was keen to bring something similar to the UK.”
“We have some unique speakers so far and we still have more to announce that will really whet the appetite for a coach to take back learning to their club, team and players.”
Matt concluded “Nottingham is an ideal city to host this event due to it being geographically central in the country as well as being a city with a long and proud tradition of excellence in ice sports.”
More announcements of guest speakers and coaches delivering additional workshops over the weekend will be made over the coming weeks.
