In our tenth video chat we catch up with netminding coach Davey Lawrence who is one of our guest speakers.
Davey talks about his forthcoming Understanding Netminders workshop at the Symposium over the weekend of 13/14 July 2024.
He chats to us about his career and how he started playing ice hockey and then changing to being a netminder. We get an insight into his role linking with the EIH and GB as part of the pathway for future top netminders in the country.
Davey gives an insight about how numbers of netminders in the UK are running low and as part of his workshop will be discussing with the coaches in attendance themes that will encourage learnings from his experiences but also more importantly other peoples ideas are also key to ensure we are looking to be on the same page for the future.
